Band Concert - Wednesday, May 20
The band at Aquinas Academy has always had an excellent reputation for having extremely talented musicians.
Many of the students are selected to play at much higher levels within the state of New Jersey.
Many of the parishioners of St. Philomena’s have never heard them play. With this in mind, the band members and their director,
Martha Boughner would like to invite the members of the parish to come to the Spring Band concert on Wednesday, May 20 at 7pm in the gym.
They would also like to extend an invitation to Band Alumni to come too. It will be a wonderful evening for all. We look forward to seeing you there.

Aquinas Academy Alumni, Class of 2000 is cordially invited to attend the Graduation Celebrations for the Class of 2009 on Friday, June 5th.
Nine years ago when you were in the 8th grade these students were your church buddies from the Kindergarten. Now they are soon to be joining you as alums of AQA.
Please join them for their Baccalaureate Mass and Breakfast and/or their Graduation Ceremony. Their Mass begins at 9:30 am in St. Philomena’s Church and the breakfast
is immediately following in the gym. Graduation takes place in the church and begins at 7:30pm. For additional information, please call the school office at 973-992-1587.

Jeannette Klemballa, RIP
It is our sad duty to inform you of the passing of Jeannette Klemballa, the 3rd grade teacher at Aquinas Academy.
Jeannette dedicated the last 20 years to educating and nurturing our students. All of our faculty, staff, students,
and alumni will miss her dearly, but we are consoled by the knowledge that she has returned to the God she wanted her students to love so much.
Our prayers go out to all of Jeannette’s family and friends and we invite you to celebrate the life of this beautiful soul by
attending the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be at St. Philomena’s on Saturday at 9:30 am. Visitation will be on Thursday
from 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Hancliffe Home for Funerals, 222 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
